You will be picked up from your preferred location or hotel in Jaipur in a sophisticated cab to begin Khatu Shyam Ji trip. Jaipur to Khatu Shyam Ji distance is 80 km which takes about 1.30 hours, a pleasant ride by car


9:00 am: We drive towards Khatu Shyam Ji temple. Upon arrival and after rest and refreshment we see the main temple and some other sites.

Khatu Shyam Ji Temple: Khatu Shyam Ji Temple is a highly hallowed place and great pilgrimage destination. The temple is located in the centre of the town and built with pure Makrana marble which gives it the shining aura. The temple is dedicated to ‘Barbareek’, the grandson of Mahabharata character Bhima. He is worshipped as Khatu Shyam Ji and is considered as the God of modern period ‘Kaliyuga’. It is believed that the idol is in the form of a head which appeared in the holy pond ‘Shyam Kund’. The head was retrieved and installed in the temple. The architectural features of the temple are worth exploring.


Shyam Kund: Shyam Kund is a holy pond located close to the Khatu Shyam Ji temple. It is a popular belief that a dip in this holy water can cure anyone from diseases and keep them fit and healthy. It is a very deep water body.


Shyam Bagichi: A blessed garden is located close to the Khatu Shyamji Temple. It is known as Shyam Bagichi. Devotees pick up flowers from here only to offer to the idol. The famous memorial of a great devotee is located here.


Gourishankar Temple: Famous Gourishankar temple is devoted to Lord Shiva and it is located close to the Khatu Shyamji’s Temple. A widespread legend says that the soldiers of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb wanted to destroy it and attacked ‘Shiva Lingam’ with a spear. People say that the blood gushed from it and the soldiers fled away. Mark of the lance can still be seen on the Lingam.


Khatu Shyamji Fair: This fair is held in worship of Khatu Shyam Ji. It is a famous three-day annual event that takes place in months of February and March. Devotees take part in various entertaining activities and shopping during these three days.
