About Tour: Agra, in the state Uttar Pradesh, is a historic city in a true sense. In every lane of this city you can smell the signs of the past. Though famous for the amazing Taj Mahal, some other buildings of historical significance are also present. The heritage of the city is connected with the Mughal dynasty but various other rulers also contributed to the opulent past of this city.

You will be picked up from your preferred location or hotel in Delhi in a sophisticated car to begin visit to a city of historical significance, Agra. It will take 3 hours 45 minutes via Taj Express Highway/Yamuna Express way to cover 232.7 km.

Taj Mahal: Around 10:30 am, you will visit Taj Mahal, which is one of the most glorious monuments built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan between 1632-1654 A.D in the memory of his much-loved wife Mumtaj Mahal. You will be surprised to know that the monument takes on different coloring at different times of the day, from a reddish pink in the morning, translucent white in the evening and golden at night when lit by the moon. They say the changing color resembles the changing mood of the Emperor's queen.

12:00 am: Agra Fort Visit
You will proceed towards a UNESCO world heritage site Agra Fort. This magnificent structure is built in red sandstone. Agra Fort was built primarily as a military structure by Akbar but was later transformed into a palace by his son, Shah Jahan who was imprisoned by his son Aurangzeb for eight years in the octagonal tower, ‘Mussaman Burj’ of Fort where he died.

15:00 pm: Baby Taj Mahal (Tomb of Itimād-ud-Daulah)
After lunch, you will move towards Itimād-ud-Daulah (Baby Taj), a Mughal mausoleum and very beautiful red sandstone structure. Itmad-ud-Daulah means ‘Pillar of the Government’. Though it is not as stunning as Taj Mahal but it is more delicate in appearance due to extensive use of finely carved marble lattice screens.

After exploring major spots we begin back trip to Delhi for drop at a preferred location.

Taj Mahal is closed to the public on Fridays
